Tim Gardam- Dr Tim Gardam has been Director of Programmes at Channel 4, Controller of News and Documentaries at Channel Five. He was then appointed by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport to lead a review of digital television in Britain. He began his career as a journalist at the BBC, where he founded the history programme Timewatch and edited Panorama and Newsnight. Between 1993 and 1996 Tim was Head of Current Affairs for BBC television and radio. He is currently Principal of St. Anne's College, Oxford.

Rory Cellan-Jones- Rory Cellan-Jones is the BBC's technology correspondent. Starting his BBC career as a researcher on Look North, he worked in the London TV newsroom for three years before getting his first on-screen role at BBC Wales. He later became the BBC's business and economics correspondent. Since January 2007, Cellan-Jones has been the BBC's Technology Correspondent with the job of expanding the BBC's coverage of new media and telecoms, and the cultural impact of the Internet.

James Hanvey- Revd Dr James Hanvey is a Jesuit priest. A former headteacher and prolific writer on theology and culture, he is now Director of the Heythrop Institute for Religion, Ethics and Public Life.

Julian Baggini- As a teenager Julian Baggini was a keen Christian, but he recently spoke at the Oxford Union, arguing against the existence of God. He is the co-founder and editor of The Philosophers' Magazine and is in demand as an insightful commentator on all things philosophical. Baggini is the author of The Pig that Wants to be Eaten and 99 other thought experiments and Welcome to Everytown: A Journey into the English Mind. He has written for The Guardian, The Independent and The Observer, and is a regular guest on BBC Radio 4's In Our Time.

Sarah Joseph- Sarah Joseph was brought up as a Catholic but converted to Islam as a teenager. She is now editor of Emel – a Muslim lifestyle magazine and is a commentator on British Islam. As a writer and broadcaster she has spent the past ten years lecturing on Islam both within the UK and internationally. She was awarded an OBE in 2004 for services to interfaith dialogue.

Mal Fletcher- Writer and futurologist Mal Fletcher is the Director of Next Wave International, a Christian mission to contemporary cultures with a special focus on Europe. He is also the host of the annual Strategic Leadership Consultation for leaders of major European church networks and community organisations.

Nick Baines- Rt Revd Nick Baines became Bishop of Croydon in 2003. He has been broadcasting regularly since he was Vicar of Rothley, Leicestershire in the 90s, and now frequently Pauses for Thought with Terry Wogan on Radio 2. He is not the keyboard player in The Kaiser Chiefs.

Peter Kerridge- Peter's broadcasting history began at the age of 17 at Metro Radio. In 1989 he joined the Essex Radio management team as Religious and Community Affairs Manager and was responsible for launching the Harlow local radio station ten17 FM. In 1996 Peter was appointed as Managing Director of Premier and is now its Chief Executive. He broadcasts his regular show Peter Kerridge and You.

Clarence Mitchell- Clarence Mitchell was a BBC reporter and royal correspondent. He went on to become director of the media monitoring unit at the government's Central Office of Information, before being hired by the parents of Madeleine McCann, Gerry and Kate, to be their spokesperson.

Frank Cottrell Boyce- Frank Cottrell Boyce is one of the most respected screenwriters working in the UK. After serving as a TV critic and writing for Coronation Street and Brookside he met the distinguished director Michael Winterbottom. The two collaborated on numerous films including Welcome to Sarajevo, 24 Hour Party People and A Cock and Bull Story. Boyce has also collaborated with director Danny Boyle on Millions and with Anand Tucker on Hilary and Jackie. This Autumn sees his return to TV with the high-impact 90 minute drama God on Trial which tells the story of the ad hoc trial of God by Auschwitz prisoners. Frank grew up Catholic and remains firmly rooted in his native Liverpool. Besides his writing career he is a widely respected paeleantologist.
