The Andrew Cross Awards

The Andrew Cross Awards are presented each year to celebrate the very best in religious communication. These prestigious awards are recognised across the industry for identifying some of most talented and creative exponents of local and regional religious broadcasting.

The awards are named in honour of Bishop Agnellus Andrew and Bishop Stewart Cross – two pioneering figures in the church's engagement with local broadcasting.

Each year nominations are received in a range of categories, and a panel of distinguished judges meets to determine which productions have excelled in creativity, technical merit and above all in the effective communication of religious themes and values.

In recent years the Andrew Cross Awards have been presented at the Churches' Media Conference in June. But the 2007 awards will be presented at a separate event to be held in the Autumn.

Further details of the categories for the 2007 Andrew Cross Awards will be posted on this site later in the year, together with information about how to enter.
